Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our cardiovascular team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating heart conditions using catheter-based techniques and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients with a range of cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, TEE, and other catheter-based interventions.
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular conditions.
Provide post-procedural care, including monitoring for complications and ensuring optimal recovery.
Collaborate with other cardiology specialists, nurses, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
Maintain patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Stay current with the latest research, technologies, and best practices in interventional cardiology.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to medical students and other healthcare professionals.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
Valid medical license in North Carolina.
Proven expertise in performing a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease procedures, and peripheral interventions.
Research background or interest in advancing the field of interventional cardiology.
