DEFINITION OF POSITION
-
The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, documenting, and implementing Hospital Information System modifications as necessary to improve workflow in any user department consistent with hospital strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional
-
Bachelors Degree preferred or Associates degree and equivalent work experience.
-
5 Years of experience in the field or a related area.
-
Familiarity with health care related Information Technology.
-
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within field.

Demonstrates progressive management experience.

Unit/Department Specific Competencies

Develop a close, congenial, professional and supportive working relationship with colleagues, supervisors, vendors, and users of all modules.

Organize, facilitate and participate in system conversion, implementations, and upgrades utilizing standard systems analysis and project management tools for assigned modules.
-
Coordinate and assist in the testing of system conversion, modifications, enhancements, implementations, and upgrades of assigned modules.
-
Provide users, vendors, colleagues, and supervisors with timely, accurate and pertinent communications and documentations relating to all systems problems, activities, and projects.

Provide backup support and coverage for all Information Services functions as needed or assigned.

Provide on-call support for all Information Services as assigned.

Coordinates the flow of work between shifts to assure continuity.

Establishes and maintains work schedules.

Assists in proposals for new equipment.

Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
