DEFINITION OF POSITION
-
The primary role of this position is to facilitate outpatient flow, assist with billing and charges, departmental statistics, scheduling and other duties. Individuals will perform EKGs, employee fit tests and other minor outpatient testing and teaching. EKG certification class will be required within one year. Great communication skills required to deal directly with the public and the multidisciplinary team in person and via phone.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

Some knowledge of third party billing. Medical terminology.

Proficiency with computer applications and typing.

Ability to maintain confidential medical information

BLS for Healthcare Providers certified.
