- JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- The nursing assistant director reports to the Director and supervises the clinical team on the assigned unit or department. Collaborates with all interdisciplinary teams, including inpatient units, Emergency Department and Surgical Services
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- The Assistant Director for PCU/CCU supports the Director in the management and leadership of the Progressive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit. This role focuses on operational oversight, staff development, patient care quality, and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care and assists in implementing strategic initiatives that improve patient outcomes and optimize resource utilization.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- Current licensed registered nurse in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 3-years of clinical nursing experience in Progressive/Critical Care or other related field, with at least 2- years in a leadership role
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification required, Certifications in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) and/or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) highly recommended
