Job Summary: Carteret Management Corporation is seeking to hire a PART TIME DRIVER responsible for providing scheduled transportation services for residents of apartment communities located in downtown Jacksonville, FL in accordance with the Company’s values of communication, customer service and competency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensures the safety and well-being of all passengers being transported;
· Assists passengers entering and exiting the Company vehicle, if needed.
· Completes a comprehensive written inspection of the Company vehicle daily, reporting any conditions of concern to their immediate supervisor, or Property Manager, before transporting residents;
· Completes a monthly trip log;
· Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of the Company vehicle;
· Ensures that the Company vehicle always has sufficient fuel;
· Operates the Company vehicle in such a way that road and safety regulations are always followed;
· Keeps the Company vehicle clean and free of debris;
· Routinely inventories the Company vehicle’s emergency and first aid supplies and equipment, reports needs to their immediate supervisor, or Property Manager, if needed;
· In the event of an accident, assures that Emergency Procedures are followed and completes a written Accident Report.
Requirements
· Must be able to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with all local, state, federal and D.O.T. regulations;
· Appropriate State of Florida Driver license;
· Training on highway safety rules and regulations;
· Maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (medical card) as required by the DOT;
· Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned;
· Consistently professional, courteous and friendly.
