Job Summary
This position provides support in the Writing Center to students in developing their writing skills and achieving their academic goals.
Responsibilities
- Support and carry out the college's mission, values, and strategic priorities in compliance with the mandates and regulations of the University System of Georgia and all associated accrediting agencies.
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students across various disciplines.
- Schedule and manage appointments for consultations.
- Maintain records of student visits and sessions.
- Assist in developing online resources and content for the Writing Center's website or learning management system.
- Assist in planning and conducting writing workshops and events aimed at improving students' writing skills.
- Assist in promoting Writing Center services and events.
- Utilize various software programs and online platforms to facilitate remote sessions.
- Provide basic technical support to students using writing and citation tools.
- Maintain timely and proper communication with students, faculty, and staff of the college via phone, email, and other electronic means.
- Engage in all required reporting for student progress in a timely manner.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
