The Associate Director/Director, FP&A will play a pivotal role in the financial planning, analysis, and business process improvement functions within the organization. The successful candidate will be strategic in thinking, analytical in approach, and have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of executives through effective communication, financial analyses, logical reasoning, and the creation of alternatives. Additionally, the candidate will drive operational controllership and develop new mechanisms to drive scale, automation and efficiency in finance and across the business. This position will report to the Head of FP&A.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of FP&A in overseeing and executing financial planning & analysis activities, including the creation of annual budgets, forecasts, long-range plans (LRP), and monthly/ quarterly reporting of financial results for management, investors, and budget owners
- Partner with management and business unit leaders to assess financial performance, recommend actions to support business strategy, and provide insights for operational decision-making.
- Analyze financial data and develop KPIs to provide actionable recommendations to optimize profitability, reduce costs, and improve overall financial health of the unit and the enterprise
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support key business initiatives, ensuring alignment and providing timely financial insights and forecasts
- Lead business process improvement initiatives, focusing on operational efficiency, process optimization, and automation
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems, tools, and methodologies to streamline operations and decision- making
- Develop and enhance cash flow forecasting models to support both short-term and long-term cash management and ensure liquidity aligns with business operations and strategic goals
- Work closely with Operations to optimize supply chain planning and material management processes, ensuring cost-effective strategies and operational efficiency
- Support commercialization efforts, including revenue planning, COGS modeling, and scenario planning, to assess the financial impact of strategic business initiatives
- Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly close process, financial reporting, and preparation of GAAP financial statements.
- Business Partnership and Collaboration: The candidate must demonstrate an ability to build strong relationships with Finance and non-Finance business partners and work collaboratively to deliver meaningful analyses and decision support.
- 8 years of relevant experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility
- Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry or supporting manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Adaptive Insights a plus
- Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles
- Superb organizational skills and experience leading projects
- Robust financial and operational modeling experience with understanding of modeling best practices (e.g., dynamic models with case functionality, user-friendly models with clear labeling of assumptions/data sources)
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
