Job Opportunity: Adult Psychiatrist or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Location: Northeastern Tier of New York State, on the Canadian Border
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) Adult Psychiatrist or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our well-established inpatient unit and outpatient clinic teams. This position is located in the beautiful Northeastern Tier of New York State, close to the Canadian border. The area is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, with easy access to the Thousand Islands, Lake Placid, and the Foothills of the Adirondack Mountains.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including holistic evaluations for the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic mental health conditions.

Deliver pharmacological interventions and medication management, alongside psychoeducation and crisis management support.

Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor and support patient treatment plans.

Collaborate and coordinate care with other clinic psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams.

Review and assess patient health evaluations and treatment plans, offering recommendations and referrals as needed.

Provide in-hospital consultations as part of your duties.

Work primarily during the day shift with shared on-call responsibilities, including one weekend per month.
Qualifications:

Board Eligible/Board Certified in Psychiatry (Adult or Child & Adolescent).

Experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings is preferred.

Strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
