CHMC - Environmental Service Worker - Full Time- Day Shift- 5a-6p- Requisition 8285
Shifts will be 8 hour shifts but you will be scheduled within the range of hours of 5a-6p
Job Grade: 4 ($16.75-$20.96)*
Environmental Services Worker performs environmental services duties in accordance with established standards and regulations including: maintaining a clean, sanitary hospital environment and providing and distributing clean linen supplies. Ensures departments and stocked with toiletries in restrooms.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Related experience preferred. On-the-job training provided. Valid NY State Driver's license required. Proficient communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to adapt to routine, repetitive manual tasks. Manual dexterity and motor coordination to operate equipment. Ability to work as a team. Ability to exercise sound judgment. Work is of medium demand. Routine lifting requirements of less than 50 pounds. Standing and walking required for most of the shift. Pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, reaching, and climbing required. Generally, works inside. Risk of exposure of communicable diseases, chemicals, and hazardous waste.
