Free Training Program - Become A Certified Nursing Assistant
This free CNA training program is offered by Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, providing eligible candidates with the opportunity to become certified nursing assistants.
Course Details
Classes are still to be determined. Upon completion of the course, participants will be offered a position within our facility.
Career Opportunities
- Observing residents in assigned units
- Reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse
- Taking care of residents' personal hygiene, including bed baths, shaving, etc.
- Setting up meal trays and documenting food/fluid intake
- Feeding residents and serving nutritional supplements
- Making beds and keeping residents' spaces clean and tidy
- Transporting residents within the facility
- Maintaining confidentiality of all resident and facility data
Hiring Requirements
- Successful completion of the sponsored CNA program
- Valid NY State CNA certification
- Age 18 or older
- In good standing with State Registry
- Diploma or GED
- Ability to work as a team member
