Job Description
Position Summary:
The CNA Program Instructor (RN) will collaborate with the Program Coordinator to present the curriculum. This role involves teaching lecture and lab content, coordinating clinical training, and supervising course participants.
Responsibilities:
- Teach adult learners in a collaborative environment.
- Coordinate clinical training and supervision of students.
- Supervise students during their clinical experience.
Requirements:
A registered nurse with at least one year of experience in a nursing home is required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach adult learners through one of the following:
- Completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners.
- New York State Education Department teacher's certification.
- Two years of experience teaching nursing or nursing-related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the state education department.
- Two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility.
