What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor, Biology position at Carthage College?
The Biology Department is seeking applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professor of Biology position for a 1- to 3-year contract with the potential for renewal. The successful candidate will teach lecture and lab courses in Anatomy and Physiology for nursing and pre-health students, as well as other biology courses such as microbiology as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Biology or closely related discipline •Commitment to innovative development of curriculum or pedagogical practices
- Demonstrated record of successful undergraduate biology instruction •Demonstrated commitment to supporting a diverse population of students in the classroom
