What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Business Systems Analyst position at Carthage College?
The analyst's primary responsibility is to promote and enable the efficient use of enterprise level information systems throughout campus. The ideal candidate for this role will blend both technical and functional expertise of Workday, and other campus application systems, to support the technological and reporting needs of our constituents. Key responsibilities will involve design, implementation, maintenance, reporting, and security of application solutions.
Duties:
- Collaborate with end users and team members to design, implement, maintain, and report on integrations and customizations relating to the SaaS applications
- Manage technical configuration for Enterprise level technologies, most specifically Student Financial Services related items
- Work with end users to design, implement, and support reporting solutions
- Develop and test configurations and customizations
- Continuously increase awareness and functional expertise with various academic or administrative departments in order to successfully collaborate on solutions and troubleshoot issues
- Perform production support, incident response, and troubleshooting
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for applications, configurations, customizations, and integrations
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities
Experience
- 1-3 years in IT capacity, strong experience with reporting, integration, and testing
- Experience supporting and reporting on student information system data preferred
- Higher Education experience strongly preferred in the areas of IT, IE, or IR
- Workday experience preferred
