We are lookin to hire a Production Nutrition Consultant. This person will build strong producer relationships, support feed and production program execution, and collaborate with management and health teams to achieve client goals. This role focuses on delivering customized, science-based nutrition solutions to enhance production efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand their unique challenges, production goals, and operational needs.
- Lead, coach, and support farm managers, owners, feed mills, and health teams to achieve optimal swine production performance.
- Provide expert feed program guidance aligned with health and production strategies to enhance efficiency and financial outcomes.
- Conduct regular barn visits to monitor feeding program implementation, assess performance, and ensure producer success.
- Review production data summaries and analyses and understand financial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement processes to meet quality, cost, and production goals for Carthage clients.
- Establish routines with producers to present performance and financial results/improvements.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by integrating Carthage solutions into client operations.
- Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Feed Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in commercial swine production or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position Location, Travel & Physical demands
- IL/MI/IN/OH area (preferred)
- Field based position, largely in the US Midwest, including some overnight trips
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
