- Confers with service members, venders, military installations, and operations teams by telephone and email to provide information about services, and/or negotiate dates and rates for shipment serviceability
- Coordinates with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Responds to customer/vendor/base inquiries and refers clients to the proper resources for assistance
- Reviews various booking/shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Makes special shipping/transportation arrangements as necessary
- Tracks and fixes shipping registration/booking errors
- Approves bills and invoices from vendors
- Monitors distribution and shipment budgets as set by Senior Management
- Ensures the quality of all booking services provided meet the required standards
- Offers solutions that make our supply chain more efficient and organized
- Helps create strategies for minimizing costs along with ensuring current proven strategies are followed
- Reviews reports and processes necessary for updates and changes in systems
- Possess ability to work swiftly in securing short fuse shipments while ensuring shipments meet or exceed profitability levels set forth by the company
- Uses task driven software to keep records of member interactions, ensuring accuracy in booking details, member/vendor details, and initiates new tasks when necessary
- Refers unresolved member grievances to designated escalation specialist and/or quality control/operations departments for further investigation and resolution
- Understands, applies and educates members on the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR)
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Keeps accurate records of time worked and submits timesheets at appropriate times
- Adheres to all Company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Works scheduled shifts with predictable and reliable attendance, adhering to department schedule
- Works weekends and evenings, including more than 8 hours a day when the needs of the business demand
Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
Preferred
- Knowledge of the logistics industry
Facilitates the communication between government awarded relocations, vendors, and Cartwright operations teams to promote a positive move experience for the service members and their family.
