Home Health Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong desire to enhance the quality of life for those they serve. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence while providing companionship.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Support clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home or home health care is preferred.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and CPR certification is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others are essential qualities for this role.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
