THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, the Planner / Scheduler will :
- Respond to high priority jobs by providing planning information for safe and efficient execution, and updating schedules, as necessary. Assist in the realignment of resources based on process needs and the current business environment.
- Manage work order backlog by reviewing, grouping similar work requests, and ensuring plans meet timing requirements.
- Update work orders with accurate order types, maintenance activities, and task procedures.
- Attach job plans with special instructions, required documentation, skill crafts, and necessary tools / equipment. Solicit feedback on executed job plans and make any necessary changes.
- Facilitate weekly scheduling meetings, optimize resource utilization, and adjust schedules as production priorities shift.
- Collaborate on reliability-driven improvements and provide staffing recommendations based on resource utilization trends.
- Create and sustain a balanced strategic maintenance schedule.
