We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Carus. As a key member of our supply chain management group, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.
The Opportunity
Your Role: Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, you will manage and execute procurement strategies for indirect and capital purchasing, ensuring effective supplier relationships, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize decision-making and ensure market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with business needs and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement technology solutions that improve procurement efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through sourcing analysis, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
The Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, and materials management.
- ISM or APICS certifications are an asset.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management skills.
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems, with familiarity with BaaN, IFS, or Maximo.
- Demonstrated ability to develop procurement strategies and implement process improvements.
