As a Driver Trainer, your main goal is to develop solutions to daily challenges in the world of auto transport. The duties will vary from day to day. As part of this role, trainers will be ensuring drivers are up to speed on Carvana policies and safe driving. During times of not having a class, the trainer will perform continue education and evaluations of existing drivers. The qualifying candidate must love helping people and must be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.

- Travel is required for this position. You will be traveling from site to site to assist with training.
- Responsible for providing a world class onboarding experience to newest Vehicle Transporters at Carvana
- Serve as the primary trainer, getting new hires up to speed over a 1-week training period on how to effectively maneuver, maintain, and operate car trailers and other logistics equipment
- Comfortable with classroom training as well as hands-on training
- Ability to be coach, mentor, and provide feedback to new hires
- Draw upon a wide variety of techniques to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Use skills matrix and evaluation checklists/assessments or similar tools.
- Collaborate with multiple Logistics Managers to ensure a smooth transition from training to on-the-job
- Support with other projects as needed

- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; a majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
- Requires standing for extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable
- System and on the job training experience preferred
- CDL class A and clean driving record
- Smith Systems training and/or certification preferred or willing to be certified
- Bend, kneel, twist, squat, stand and climb as required to secure load
- 21 years old
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Proficient with word, spreadsheets, systems
- Have more than two years of CDL driving experience
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Maintain a DOT Medical card
- Ability to develop individuals and teams for organizational success
