Responsibilities
- ABS Welding: Perform welding operations on American Bureau of Shipping vessels.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise welding.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing welding tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers, fabricators, and project managers, to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a welder, with a focus on ABS vessels
- Certifications: American Bureau of Shipping certification
- Technical Skills: Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, with a strong emphasis on ABS welding.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety practices and guidelines in a workshop environment.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
