JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the IT Office Manager, the On-call Clerical Support Personnel assists in the performance of various clerical, receptionist and secretarial tasks which include but are not limited to receiving, screening, routing of telephone calls; directing walk-in customers to appropriate areas of service; mail collection, processing and distribution; responding to electronic inquiries, logging and preparing records for document digitization.
This is an on-call position with no guarantee of continual hours, nor is there eligibility for insurance.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of the duties and responsibilities that may be assigned but not limited to :
- Assists the public by responding to routine telephone, electronic, and walk-in customer questions by referring them to the proper department.
- Operates switchboard and refers callers to the appropriate resources within the County.
- Utilizes software applications to update spreadsheets, documents and reports.
- Assists in the processes of file preparation and data entry of official records.
- Works with material that may be confidential or sensitive in nature.
- Assists with projects as needed.
- Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
SCORED EXAMINATION PROCESS

Final selection for the position will include successful completion of oral interview(s), reference checks, and background investigation.
