What are the responsibilities and job description for the Victim Witness Intern - Unpaid Position position at Carver County?
The Victim Witness Intern assists the Victim Witness staff in providing assistance and services to victims and Carver County Attorney's Office staff. This is an unpaid internship.•Schedule interviews upon the request of the attorney or victim witness staff.
•Utilize available computer systems to research case status.
•Document all contacts accurately in PBK.
•Complete correspondence to the victim.
•Attend and table an event sponsored with the Carver County Attorney's Office.
•Other projects as assigned.•High School Diploma/GED
•Complete and pass a background check
•Valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility
•Must be available a minimum of one semester.
•Must be available to work a minimum of 2 hours per week
•Must meet all requirements outlined in MN Statute 179A.03 Subd. 14(6)All applications will be screened for minimum qualifications, scored and ranked. The highest ranked candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be recommended for the scored oral examinations (interviews). Final selection for the position will include successful completion of oral interview(s), reference checks, and background investigation, including CJIS fingerprinting and POR check.
