What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Carver?
Our repair shops are state-of-the-art, clean, efficient facilities where you will enjoy working each day. Some have on-site parts departments to help maximize efficiency while others have access to a dedicated parts delivery driver.
Annual Salary range for this role is $70,000-100,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs Front Line Mechanic inspections, preventive maintenance, and all phases of repair on heavy-duty diesel equipment and trucks as per policies and procedures.
- Performs mechanical and electrical repairs as per policies and procedures.
- Responds to equipment breakdowns in the field when requested.
- Assists other Mechanics as needed.
- Operates company vehicles in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
- Completes all required paperwork neatly, correctly, and on time.
- Required to respond in an emergency if called.
- Performs all other duties as requested by the Shop Supervisor or Equipment Manager.
- Hours can be flexible if you wish to work 1st or second shift.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Experience with engine and transmission rebuilds
