Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems, as well as the ability to work with various tools and technologies to ensure optimal performance of AV equipment.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform cabling tasks to ensure proper connectivity between devices.
- Troubleshoot software issues related to AV systems and provide effective solutions.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and repair of AV equipment.
- Conduct field service visits to assess and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters for equipment testing and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in audio-visual engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Familiarity with cabling standards and practices is essential.
- Proficiency in software troubleshooting for various AV applications.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience in field service roles is a plus.
- Competence in using computer hardware relevant to AV systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
