Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AV systems tailored to client needs, including low voltage wiring and IT integration.
- Install and configure audio-visual equipment such as projectors, video conferencing systems, and sound systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to AV equipment, computer hardware, and network connectivity.
- Maintain and repair AV systems to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Use tools like voltmeters, hand tools, and diagnostic software for system analysis and repairs.
- Interpret and work with schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on large-scale projects to ensure seamless integration of AV and IT systems.
- Provide client training and support for AV system usage and troubleshooting.
- Communicate with clients regarding project requirements, progress updates, and system recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, IT networking, and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with E&I (electrical and instrumentation) concepts is highly desirable.
- Experience with cabling, structured wiring, and audio-visual system integration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring layouts.
- Proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving AV and IT-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- Prior experience as an AV Technician, Field Technician, or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and stay updated on industry trends, including advancements in AV and IT systems.
