American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- Monitor patron activity both in the water and on the pool deck. React and respond to situations in accordance with District, pool facility and American Red Cross procedures.
- Communicate matters of importance to the Pool Manager on duty in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with patrons.
- Attend staff meetings as requested.
- Attend monthly in service training session as required.
- Uphold appropriate recreation and pool facility operations procedures in accordance with District policy.
- Uphold safety and risk management procedures as applicable to the recreation and pool facility operation.
- Uphold customer service standards in accordance with recreation operation and District policy.
- Assist with general maintenance of pool facility as directed by Pool Manager.
- Assist with the overall cleanliness of pool facility this includes the pool deck, locker rooms/shower area, concession area and pool office.
- Other duties as assigned by Pool Manager and Facility and Program Manager.
