Job Summary:
The Farm Equipment Operator/Farm Hand is a person whose work provides necessary support to primary activities of our row-crop farm and/or operations within the business - he/she will assist with driving and controlling equipment to support agricultural activities such as tilling soil, planting, cultivating and harvesting crops along with routine maintenance of farm equipment.
Farm Hand- feeding and herding livestock, cleaning and general maintenance in and around barns & mangers.

Salary:
$15 - $20 an hour, based on experience

Cary Pioneer Farm in Alma, Michigan is looking to add a full-time Farm
Equipment/Farm Hand with good communication skills, a positive attitude and is self-motivated. The selected candidate’s job duties may include at a minimum and assist with the following:

• Agricultural Equipment Operator - must have an acceptable driving record

• Tractor operator with field work attachments, such as plow, disc, etc.
• Planter operator
• Chopper operator
• Combine operator
• Grain cart operator
• Loader operator
• Semi-truck operator – Farm Endorsement would be helpful or a CDL, but not required at beginning of job
• Routine maintenance of equipment & machinery – “if we take care of our equipment, it will take care of us”
• Other farm equipment

• Farm Hand

• Feed Truck operator
• Feed cattle at feedlot and main farm
• Loader operator
• Skid Steer
• Cleaning - weekly as assigned by Feedlot Manager & Owner’s of CPF
• Cleaning of grounds around barns & feed mangers
• Other job duties as assigned by Owner’s of CPF and Operation Manager’s

Hours of operation are 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Every 3rd weekend chore schedule. Hours of operations during spring planting and fall harvest will exceed the normal hours of operation and will be mandatory and weather permitting.

• Must be willing to obtain an “F” endorsement or obtain a CDL license no later than 90 days of employment. Salary will commensurate based on the endorsement or CDL being obtained.

• Must be willing to submit to a background check
