Born of the spirit of Mexico City combined with old family recipes, all of our churros, horchata, and select coffee syrups are made in house from scratch with the highest quality ingredients. Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic barista to join our team. (If interested we are willing to train!) As a part of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while providing exceptional service and high-quality products. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and light food items, ensuring that each customer has an incredible experience. We pride ourselves on the freshest and highest quality products, and the best service!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Be attentive to guests repeat orders, preferences, and/or personal details.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and guest seating areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers about their day, etc, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude while working under pressure.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food and beverage items.
• Be self-sufficient in finding necessary tasks or prep work during down-time.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients.

Skills

• Strong preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation.
• Ability to multi-task on preparing orders while engaging with customers and other staff members.
• Detail oriented and extremely efficient in all tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve sales goals.
• Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers accurately.
• Basic math skills for managing transactions and inventory counts.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards.
• A willingness to help others and contribute positively to the team dynamic.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment

• Exposure to weather conditions (seating area is outdoors)
• Required to stand, sit, stoop, and crouch
• Frequently utilize fine motor coordination in hands and arms, sight, and hearing.
• Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
