Job Description:
Casa Bonita is hiring a Head of Entertainment. The Head of Entertainment will be responsible for the overall entertainment program delivered at Casa Bonita including world-famous divers, staged and roaming shows, as well as the production, costuming, and props teams that supports them. This role will also be providing leadership to the entire entertainment team. The Head of Entertainment ensures that guests have an unparalleled experience when they visit Casa Bonita. The Head of Entertainment must be an enthusiastic leader, a quick thinker, a problem-solver, a skilled communicator, an analyst, a forecaster, as well as have an incredible eye for detail, and a passion for overseeing the delivery of excellent entertainment.
Responsibilities
The Head of Entertainment will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee both the entertainment staff and venues under the direction of the General Manager.
- Ensure continued compliance with brand standards throughout Casa Bonita.
- Continuous improvement in entertainment offerings and delivery to increase NPS while increasing operational efficiencies.
- Lead and manage approximately 100 staff to ensure the highest standard of service to each other as Casa Bonita employees, as well as to Casa Bonita customers.
- Create labor models to maximize staffing across disciplines and provide cross training opportunities in our unique work environment.
- Partner with finance for budgeting and financial reporting, providing analysis on performance and metrics.
- Partner with operations team to ensure collaboration for various shows and entertainers as needed.
- Serve as escalated point of contact during operating hours for issues and resolution; mentor other team members on diffusing difficult situations.
- Review and measure key performance indicators in day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring entertainment offerings run smoothly, as well as daily reporting to the General Manager.
- Partner with facilities, IT and tech teams to maintain venues in concert with contractors and suppliers.
- Partner with external creative directors, partners and agencies to keep creative fresh and engaging.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Build and maintain active partnerships with Casa Bonita leaders & cross-functional peers.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Theater, Production or Theater Tech preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience as Producer, Venue Manager or similar role.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Experience and able to manage a P&L and be accountable to budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Preferred experience with Toast, Open Table, and other operational programs.
