What You’ll Do:
At Casa Bonita, every team member is entrusted with creating memorable interactions with our guests, ensuring an exceptional dining and entertainment experience.
As part of the Entertainment team, the Magician engages guests through wandering and close-up magic. Your performances will enhance the immersive entertainment environment, ensuring guests leave with lasting memories.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of magic tricks, including sleight of hand, illusions, and prop-based routines using cards, coins, scarves, and other materials
- Engage guests of all ages in performances to enhance their experience
- Refine tricks and routines to maintain high-quality performances
- Perform roaming and close-up magic throughout the venue, adapting to different audiences and environments
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by Entertainment Leadership
Qualifications/Skills:
- 18 years of age
- Prior experience performing close-up and roaming magic, including illusions
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the creativity to develop and execute engaging routines
- Quick thinking and improvisation to adapt to audience reactions and unexpected situations
- Comfortable engaging and entertaining the public
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Must have reliable form of transportation and be able to work flexible shifts, inclusive of weekends, days, late nights, and holidays
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Able to distinguish colors and see both up close and at a distance
- Able to lift, carry, and manage props or small performance equipment up to 50 pounds as needed
- Able to use clear speech and strong vocal projection to engage audiences in a lively and potentially noisy environment
- Able to use manual dexterity, including fine and gross motor skills, along with hand-eye coordination for sleight-of-hand tricks, card manipulations, and handling small props
- Must be able to walk at least 10,000 steps per shift, including stairs, inclines, and declines
- Able to pivot, transition between seated and standing positions, kneel, stoop, and lift throughout shifts
- Able to stand for extended periods and walk briskly throughout the shift
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Able to multitask and work efficiently with speed, accuracy, and composure in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and entertainment venue under pressure
