What are the responsibilities and job description for the VPI Therapist position at Casa Central?
Seeking a caring, conscientious advocate with prior experience in clinical social work desired. This individual will possess a Master’s degree in Social Work or related. Clinical licensure (LCSW/LCPC) preferred but not required; bilingual preferred but not required. They will provide individual or family counseling to children and their families who have been exposed to violence or trauma. This individual will provide supportive services, including case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, psychoeducation, referral services and linkage supports. This position offers competitive pay, medical, vision, dental, paid time off, 401K and other voluntary benefits. We also offer in-house supervision toward LCSW/LCPC licensure; comprehensive 18-month training, which includes training and case-based consultation, in Child Parent Psychotherapy (an internationally recognized evidence-based practice); access to other trainings and support including monthly individual consultation with a nationally endorsed CPP trainer; a reasonable caseload (12-15 families) without mega pressure on getting billable hours; and so much more. This position pays $65,000 and is negotiable based on experience and licensure, and offers medical, vision, dental insurance, paid time off, 401K and other voluntary benefits.
Position Highlights
1.Maintains a caseload of 12-15 clients and their families: conducts timely intakes of clients’ needs (for individuals referred for domestic violence services as well as children and families referred for therapy services secondary to exposure to violence and other traumas), including gathering information over the phone and in-person; collects comprehensive data sets from families; monitors the program waitlists as indicated, including providing periodic check-in phone calls to families waiting for services to update them on their wait list status and offer any additional community-based resources and referrals.
2. Implements timely crisis intervention and safety planning strategies to support survivors of domestic abuse, utilizing resources to assist individuals and families impacted by violence and trauma by linking them with appropriate resources.
3. Maintains current knowledge of laws and regulations governing domestic violence issues as well as the protection of victims/survivors of domestic violence, and accompanies victims of domestic violence to the police department, clinics, court and other arenas as needed.
4. Provides individual, family, and/or group counseling services according to best practices and evidence-based treatment approaches, with a particular focus on Child Parent Psychotherapy; services provided in-office and in the community.
5. Maintains required documentation on services according to agency and other funding source requirements; ensure documentation adheres to agency and funder requirements, including compliance with Medicaid/Part 132/Part 140 service delivery.
6. Prepares monthly and quarterly reports on services and program activities for the agency, funders, and other stakeholders.
7. Works on other Adhoc projects as assigned by VPI Director.
