What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Outcomes Nurse (RN) position at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare?
This position supports the performance improvement initiatives of Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. The Quality Outcomes Nurse is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and improving processes and performance to improve the quality of patient care, and administering quality improvement and outcome management. This position develops, implements and maintains plans to achieve quality and patient safety goals. Promotes effective communication and collaboration with nursing and other healthcare team members for ongoing measurement and evaluation of clinical and patient experience to achieve organizational outcome goals. Works with the manager of Quality and Performance Improvement to establish performance improvement teams utilizing quality tools, data analysis and evidence-based protocols. Develops and maintains a quality and outcomes management information system. Assesses and tracks the performance levels of the facility in conducting quality and outcomes management
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Valid and active California (CA) Registered Nurse (RN) license or equal clinical experience

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Certification Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred.

Utilizes clinical expertise and excellent listening/communication skills to collaborate, inform and educate the healthcare team to create a safe and effective environment,

Skilled at methods of investigation and review, statistical analysis and reporting, performance measures, and performance improvement methodology

Experienced in presentation of quality and safety data and visual management of outcome data.

Visible in patient care areas (daily rounding) to assist staff and management to understand and improve performance on quality outcome goals

Critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently to accomplish duties and ensure continuous performance improvement activities across the organization.

Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of recent (in the past five (5) years) experience in area of quality, patient safety and/or performance improvement.

One (1) year recent nursing leadership/management experience preferred.

Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
The salary range for the position is $45.00-$71.79
