The rehabilitation Unit Secretary is an important team member in the success of the rehabilitation program. The secretary functions as a coordinator of activities related to patient care needs and is vital to the functioning of the unit as a point person of communication to health care professionals and families on the nursing unit Qualifications: Demonstrates proficiency at reading, speaking, writing and understanding English. Bilingual abilities are preferred. CPR/AED is required. Applicants with current BLS may be hired, but must obtain AHA CPR/AED within thirty days of employment. High school graduate or equivalency. One-year experience in rehabilitation setting preferred. Possesses strong organizational skills and puts attention to detail. Demonstrates initial and ongoing competence in performing tasks for care. Demonstrates ability to type at least 30 words per minutes. Possesses good interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, families, co-workers. Capable of safely performing the essential functions for the position.
Hourly Rate: $21.00-$22.50
