POSITION SUMMARY: The Neighborhood Coordinator supports the work of the Neighborhood Director in the areas of support and guidance of caregivers; regulation compliance; community building; management of agency resources; and assistance in the event of an emergency.
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Salaried)
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of direct caregiving experience in the Casa Neighborhood program
REMOTE ELIGIBILITY: This role is not eligible for remote work
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

REPORTS TO: Director of Neighborhood Programs
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Caregiver support and guidance
- Provide hands on guidance to caregivers in the areas of daily care of the children, paperwork, documentation, and management of the children through demonstrating how to perform tasks in the home; accompanying new caregivers to medical appointments; and demonstrating completion of paperwork.
- Assist with new home opening by providing on the job training to caregivers
- Provide additional support and guidance to AmeriCorps members in adjusting to the AmeriCorps role
- Assist with caregiver training
- Foster home compliance
- Convey agency policies and Minimum Standards to caregivers
- Conduct compliance checklist review prior to opening of new homes and monthly once homes are open
- Community building
- Plan and execute a community building activity at least once a month
- Resource management
- Set up homes and living spaces to ensure they are ready for use
- Complete expense reports by scanning all receipts, checking WIC receipts, and ensuring submission of all reports on a monthly basis
- Order, pick up, and distribute groceries
- Assist with the storage and distribution of purchased or donated items; ensure that necessary items are kept stocked
- Other
- Assist in agency's response to emergency and crisis situations
