We are looking for a full-time historian with a good sense of what makes an interesting angle to a story to juggle all the moving parts of psychological reports. You will meet with clients before they meet with licensed psychologists and obtain a detailed psychosocial history. Please note that client experiences may contain intense experiences, for example, domestic abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking and more. Context for the interview may also include a workplace injury or personal injury lawsuit. Although not for the lighthearted, your work impacts the clients lives in a positive manner.
Responsibilities
- Have appointments with clients scheduled by front office and yourself
- Take detailed psycho social histories
- Take Payments
- Provide narrative psychosocial histories for the doctor within 1 day
- Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors
- Rewrite text to make it easier for readers to understand
- Reschedule appointments as needed
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Sociology
- Experience within the mental health field
Requirements
- Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio
- Excellent customer service
- Empathetic means of relating
- Hands on experience with MS Office
- Excellent written skills in English
