Who you are:
- High school diploma required
- Prior personal care assistant experience preferred
- Current First Aid Certification required
Job Summary:
The Personal Care Assistant shall provide direct resident care under the supervision of the Director of AL/SCR and/or AL LVN Charge nurse. He/she will maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all residents, with emphasis on activities of daily living and anticipating the residents’ needs.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assists residents in activities of daily living including, but not limited to ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, minimal meal preparation, serving, clearing, and cleaning of dining areas, toileting, hygiene, activities, etc.
- Light housekeeping of individual units may include bed making, and other general cleaning as needed between regularly scheduled Housekeeping visits
- Participates in admission, transfer, and/or discharge procedures
- Promptly reports changes and any unusual occurrences regarding residents to Licensed Nurse or Director of AL/SCR
- Assists in transporting residents via wheelchair to and from activities, programs, dining rooms and/or pick-up points for transportation
- Monitors nutritional and fluid intake as indicated
- Assists residents with ordering meals
- Assists in dining room for all meals
- Accurately documents required data in a timely manner, using appropriate forms
Pay Rate
$22.50 – 23.50/hr.
All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some roles within our community require that we ask about your COVID-19 vaccination status.
