What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gaucho position at Casa do Brasil?
In this role you will:
- Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to Casa Do Brasil’s
Brazilian “churrasco” recipes.
- Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional methods and to guests’ specific
requests.
- Provide excellent customer service by, among other things, serving meat according to
guests' desired temperature requests.
- Be attentive while walking through the grill area and restaurant floor, always guarding
the knife and skewer.
- Be attentive to customer movements while carving the meats on the table.
- Be aware of traffic in and out of the grill area.
- Answer guests’ questions concerning “churrasco”-style food and represent and convey
Brazilian “gaucho” culture and demeanor.
- Be properly dressed when working in the meat preparation room or in the walk-in
cooler.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
- Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have or be willing to obtain, within 30 days of hiring date and at employee’s own
cost, an Accredited Food Handler Training Certificate
- Must be able to carry objects up to 30 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and work at a
quick pace.
- Must acknowledge and comply with all Casa Do Brasil policies.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
NOTE: Restaurant operates seven days per week. Scheduling will be based on demands of
restaurant business. Flexibility is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.13 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
