Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department in providing exceptional nutrition services to our residents in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and independent living residents with special dietary needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and culinary experience, as ell as a passion for promoting health and wellness through effective dietary management. This role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of dietary care plans, while ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines, health regulations, and standards.
Duties
- Supervise the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring high-quality food service and nutrition care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and client needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide health coaching and nutritional guidance to clients.
- Manage budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee tube feeding protocols and ensure proper administration as per client requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments of dietary services and make necessary adjustments to improve overall effectiveness.
- Train and mentor staff in best practices related to dietetics, food safety, and nutrition management.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary services provided, including meal plans, client progress, and compliance with regulations.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) yearsof culinary leadership experience, and one (1) year in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting. a background in dietetics or a related field, with experience in supervising dietary staff preferred. Familiarity with budgeting processes, diagnostic evaluations, and care plan development is essential. Strong leadership abilities are required to effectively manage the team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality nutrition services. Knowledge of health coaching techniques will be considered an asset. A Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) is required within the first 6-12 months, with a s=alary increase upon completion, as well as a ServeSafe Certificate.

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
