Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of the restaurant and enhancing the overall dining experience.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to optimize table turnover.
- Handle reservations and walk-in guests efficiently, maintaining an organized waiting list.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or concerns, demonstrating excellent guest services skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for managing reservations and orders when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong guest services skills with an emphasis on communication and phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently when needed.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of menus and dining etiquette is a plus.
- Must possess a friendly demeanor and the ability to help create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
