Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performance responsibilities:
? Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum and school goals using
Montessori pedagogy.
? Understands and follows objectives for all lessons, unit projects and effectively communicate
these objectives to students.
? Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and
classroom to which assigned.
? Teaches lesson plan as outlined by the absent teacher.
? Demonstrates knowledge and incorporates technology in daily tasks, as required.
? Performs all extra duties for the absent teacher or paraprofessional as required by the school.
? Contributes to the classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the
maturity and interests of the students.
? Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and
facilities.
? Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and
conduct.
? Maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
? Maintains a professional appearance as an example for students.
Requirements:
? A four year degree from an accredited college/university (must have a copy of your official
transcripts confirming the degree) OR
? A two year degree from an accredited college/university (must have a copy of your official
transcripts confirming the degree).
? Two confidential professional or volunteer, supervisory references.
Preferred Specialized Skills/Experience:
? Bilingual in English and Spanish.
