What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of Continuous School Improvement - Teaching and Learning position at Casa Grande Elementary School District?
Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Continuous School Improvement has the main
responsibility to advance the work of Project Momentum by organizing, managing,
coordinating, and monitoring data, assessment, instructional programs, academic coaching, and special projects district-wide to ensure that relevant academic leaders have the tools, resources, and information necessary to recognize academic growth and achievement outcomes.
1. Qualifications. The Coordinator of Continuous School Improvement shall hold at least a Master’s degree in education, leadership, curriculum, or a related field from an approved institution and hold an appropriate Arizona teaching certificate, or equivalent. S/he shall have at least three years of successful leadership experience. The Coordinator for Continuous School Improvement shall possess deep knowledge of local, state, and federal curriculum, and assessment requirements and will possess substantial knowledge of district policy and Arizona State Academic Standards. The Superintendent may alter any of the above requirements, as deemed appropriate and acceptable.
2. Line of Authority. The Coordinator of Continuous School Improvement shall be directly responsible to the Academic Director Team.
3. Performance Responsibilities. The Coordinator of Continuous School Improvement shall have performance responsibilities in the following areas:
District and School Support
- Help to develop and implement improvement activities associated with the Project Momentum framework.
- Work closely with administrators, coaches, and specialists in a supportive, collegial team atmosphere.
- Attend collaborative meetings with district academic leadership, school leadership teams, district specialists, and instructional coaches.
- Provide differentiated, targeted, and consultative support to academic leadership teams at school sites that focus on the established priorities identified in the Project Momentum gears of student success.
- Analyze data to identify areas of growth and design strategic plans with aligned action steps for improvement.
- Support schools with actions that are aligned to their Integrated Action Plan (IAP) goals
- Monitor, compile, and maintain data related to identified goals in the District Strategic Plan and disseminate to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of continuous improvement efforts across all schools.
Human Relations
- Provide timely, ongoing communication with directors, principals, and coaches regarding supports given on their site.
- Network with specific agencies including but not limited to the Arizona Department of Education and neighboring school districts.
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and professional learning opportunities as needed and directed by supervisors which may be offered by the Arizona Department of Education and/or other professional education organizations.
- Understand Board policies related to the areas of responsibility and cooperatively develop guidelines as needed.
Other Duties – Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the
Academic Director Team, Superintendent, and Governing Board may assign from time to
time.
