Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Caterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and culinary arts, with a strong background in hospitality management. This role involves planning, preparing, and serving food for various events, ensuring that every detail meets our high standards of quality and service. In addition, your responsabilities include, to go into the community to make connections and to talk about the catering options. The Caterer will also be responsible for managing budgets and leading a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute catering menus for events, ensuring a diverse selection that meets client preferences.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and aesthetics.
- Manage cash handling processes during events, ensuring accurate transactions.
- Lead and train staff in food handling procedures, customer service, and fine dining etiquette.
- Coordinate logistics for catering events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of food service.
- Collaborate with clients to customize catering options based on their needs and budget.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Meet a monthly quota.
Requirements
- Proven experience in catering or a related field such as culinary arts or hospitality management.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience in fine dining settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Proficiency in budgeting and cost management for catering services.
- Experience in quick service fast food restaurants is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
