In this multifaceted and impactful role, you will:
Operational Excellence and Business Performance:
- Collaborate with the General Manager in the strategic planning and execution of daily cafe operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to company standards.
- Actively manage and optimize workflow during peak hours to maintain speed of service and customer satisfaction.
- Perform all barista responsibilities, including preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and minimizing waste, to maximize profitability.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Troubleshoot operational issues promptly and effectively, implementing solutions to minimize disruption.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including daily reconciliation and bank deposits, with accuracy and integrity.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and mentorship to cafe staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

- Ensure the cafe's appearance and ambiance reflect our brand standards, including cleanliness, presentation, and overall atmosphere.
- Actively solicit customer feedback and utilize it to identify areas for improvement in our service and offerings.
Community Engagement and Local Connection:
- Support the General Manager in building and maintaining positive relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
- Participate in local events and initiatives to enhance Casa Java Cafe's presence and reputation within the community.
- Foster a sense of community within the cafe, creating a welcoming space for neighbors and regulars to connect.
- Identify opportunities for the cafe to contribute positively to the local community.
We are seeking candidates who bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in retail or customer service management, with demonstrable leadership responsibilities. Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly coffee shops, is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, motivate team members, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- A proven ability to navigate complex challenges and solve problems effectively and efficiently, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong understanding of sales principles and a passion for driving business growth. Experience in implementing sales strategies and achieving targets is a plus.
- Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to effectively coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. You should possess professional maturity and the ability to lead by influence.
- Proficiency in preparing and serving espresso-based beverages and other cafe menu items.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Key Requirements:
- Availability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours per week) with flexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, based on the needs of the business.
