Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing and assist with mediations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with household tasks including cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with resident rights and dignity while providing care.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health is preferred but not mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Homecare Assistant Certification
- Food Handlers Certification
- Background Check - By Casa Mia AFH
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Understanding of senior care principles and direct support practices.
- Ability to clean effectively while respecting the client's living space.
- Familiarity with social work concepts related to caregiving is a plus.
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and patient in delivering care services.
