Wage band range $73,000.00 - $93,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for Bilingual pay incentive.
Position is eligible for $7,500 Sign-On Bonus!! Paid at 90-day, 6-months, and 1-year of active service.
Parent Support Services provides mental health treatment, support, and case management to Ventura County parents receiving either Family Reunification or Family Preservation services. Therapeutic services will support parents to navigate their own historical trauma, substance use, and/or domestic violence experiences that impact healthy family functioning and preserve the family unit (permanency).
Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Offer, is responsible for providing and implementing the clinical therapy component of the overall treatment plan. Clinician II manages cases of assigned clients. The Clinician II carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it relates to on-going clinical assessment, evaluation and progress of the client within Casa Pacifica.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):
- Assesses the clinical needs of the parent, develops a treatment plan, makes referrals to needed resources and creates a discharge plan for assigned clients.
- Provides clinical services such as individual, collateral, family, rehabilitation, parenting skills training, and case management as appropriate to the individual needs of the client.
- Evaluates the changing mental health needs of the parent and makes adjustments accordingly.
- Utilizes evidenced based practices that are appropriate to meet the clinical needs of the parent and family.
- Collaborates with county partners, Child Welfare, Peer Support advocates, families and youth to provide comprehensive clinical care for the parent and to ensure program consistency and continuity throughout the day.
- Acts as liaison with placement agencies and community services and works closely with mental health and child protective services, as well as law enforcement agencies, schools, employers, health and welfare, and recreation agencies to provide coordinated care.
- Confers with treatment team members provides strength based, trauma informed approach to positive parenting and self-care and well-being. .
- Creates a transition discharge plan, in conjunction with the referring party and treatment team.
- Serves as the leader of the family treatment team. In conjunction with the team, develops and implements individual clinical treatment plans and assures the integration of the clinical component using a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Responsible for maintaining an organized and up-to-date clinical chart according to DMH guidelines. Prepares regular progress reports on each client; prepares additional correspondence related to caseload as required. Documents progress notes on electronic health record.
- Aids authorities to plan for the discharge arrangements of the child.
- Utilizes community resources in providing services for parents and families.
- Assists parent with community resources and links them to appropriate supports , including referrals. .
- Treatment plan development.
- Attends outside training events and conferences as requested.
- Maintains compliance with all local, County, State, and Federal government regulations to include Title 22, Division 6, and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations and clients.
- Utilizes flexible hours to meet the program and family needs.
- May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed Masters Level, supervisor experience preferred with three to five years’ experience working with parents involved in the child welfare system or equivalent. 0-3 post licensed master level.
CREDENTIALS:
- LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT with California license
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Experience working with families with substance use, Child Welfare/probation involvement, and domestic violence preferred. Ability to use various computers Software, Microsoft Office Suites. Bilingual in Spanish, a plus. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write comprehensive evaluations and progress notes/ reports on client’s treatment goals.
Valid driver’s license is required for transporting parents/families. Any changes that occurs on your driving record must be reported immediately to your supervisor.
