Casa Promesa is a 108-bed, 24 / 7 skilled nursing residential healthcare facility providing integrated, bilingual services to adults, 18 years and above, diagnosed with HIV / AIDS.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team and provide exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidates will be committed to ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents while assisting with their daily activities in accordance with care plans and nursing instructions. The CNAs will work closely with the nursing team to deliver high-quality care and ensure a positive environment for both residents and their families.
The CNA is a member of Nursing Team who is responsible for performing assignments as delegated by a licensed Nurse. All assignments are performed under the supervision of an RN or LPN, in compliance with facility policy / procedure, within the scope of the CNA's responsibility to provide safe care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, ensuring privacy and dignity.
- Aid with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, including wheelchair assistance, and help residents with prescribed exercises and range-of-motion activities.
- Support residents with eating, hydration, and nutrition, including meal assistance, monitoring food intake, and reporting any changes in appetite or eating habits.
- Provide assistance with toileting needs, including helping with positioning, use of bedpans, and maintaining incontinence care.
- Monitor and document residents’ vital signs, weight, and overall health status, reporting significant changes to the licensed nurse.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment by assisting with room tidying, bed-making, and checking for safety hazards.
- Assist with the management of resident clothing, including laundry support and reporting needs for repairs or replacements.
- Engage residents in recreational activities and provide emotional support to promote a positive and interactive experience.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, maintaining cleanliness in both the residents' environment and personal care items.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and ensure high standards of care.
