Tasks:
The Route Sales Representative (RSR) is the most important position for the success of our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) system by making our customers very happy. This is accomplished with a positive, happy outlook, keeping store shelves full, and to continuously ask for additional display opportunities.
Selling Opportunities:
With commission to accompany salary, the RSR has a chance at increasing compensation through creativity in placing and displaying products as well as developing rewarding relationships.
Responsibilities:
· Make sales to customers on the designated days and times
· Maximize shelf space and presence on the shelf
· Secure additional display opportunities
· Rotate, fully stock and front face product
· Request and manage store back-stock
· Develop friendly and respectful relationships with customers
· Communicate with DSD management on all activities
· Drive safely and legally
· Load, unload and maintain product inventory on truck.
· Abide by food safety guidelines
· Perform vehicle the pre-trip checks as required
· Enjoy the job
Requirements:
· High School Diploma/ GED, or equivalent work experience
· Ability to load and unload (up to 35 lbs.), push and pull rack of product, able to bend, reach and squat.
· Must have a valid CA driver's license.
· Provide motor vehicle report in the last 3 years, only 1, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offense, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents. No major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, reckless driving incidents.
· Ability to work early mornings, as early as 4 AM
· Abide by food safety guidelines
· Read, write, and speak English. Bilingual Spanish/English is not required but a plus
· Positive communication and people skills
· Capable organizational skills and detail oriented
· Basic computer knowledge and able to use an iPhone/Android based phone
