Job Description:

As a Groundskeeper at Cascada Spa & Hotel, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our indoor/outdoor spaces. Your responsibilities will include landscape maintenance, ensuring the cleanliness of grounds, and upholding the overall aesthetic of the hotel property to provide guests with an inviting and serene environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the responsibilities of plant care.
• Perform routine landscaping tasks, including trimming, planting, and weeding to maintain vibrant gardens and indoor plants.
• Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly.
• Monitor and maintain the health of plants, trees, and other landscaping elements, including watering and fertilization as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support ground maintenance needs and ensure seamless operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Groundskeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to grounds maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on a 32-foot ladder.
• Must be able to carry 50 lbs. or more in equipment.
• Must be able to work off hours (ideally 10PM-2AM)
