Certified Nursing Assistant
The Our House Residential Care Facility (RCF) is a 14-room facility with a team of expert clinicians who work with people living with HIV who are having difficulty managing independent living. By tailoring nursing, social services, and therapeutic everyday activities our clients and residents are able to define what ‘living well’ means to them. Our House is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Nursing Assistant. This position is responsible for working within the framework of the interdisciplinary team approach to provide residents with providing Activities of Daily Living as directed by the Service plan and the licensed nurse in charge of the floor. This includes assisting with dietary and environmental needs as needed.
This is a Part-Time (0.7 FTE) role working at Our House of Portland location in SE Portland. The schedule for this role is Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday 2:30pm-11:00pm
Starting pay is $22.77 an hour $1.00 for the evening shift. The Certified Nursing Assistant’s pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $26.52. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.
Who You Are
- OSBN Certified Nursing Assistant or ability to be certified within 6 months
- Ability to pass DHS background check.
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to maintain CNA certification through OSBN
- Frist Aid, CPR and Food handlers certified within first 30 days of hire.
- Basic computer skills
What You’ll Do
- Provides for all activities of daily living (ADLs) as directed by the service plan and licensed nurse on duty.
- Respects and maintains privacy, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries of residents, staff, and volunteers. Job Duties
- Provides care utilizing principles of safety and infection control.
- Documents care provided in electronic record.
- Participates in the implementation of the resident care plan.
