Job summary
Lead a team of production operators and make sure that goals and metrics are met. Provide technical support to assigned areas with setup, troubleshooting, and manufacturing engineering support.
Essential job functions
Insure all safety procedures are being met in the assigned area
Direct a team of production workers on a manufacturing line to fulfill the company objectives.
Assign duties to production workers to ensure the most efficient use of personnel and machines.
Monitor quality and make suggestions how to correct issues
Work with management to improve the efficiency of the line and support continuous improvement in the area.
Insure orders are shipped in a timely manner to meet Service Level Goals
Must be proficient at all operations and set-ups in order to train and cross train team according to the work instructions
Perform routine maintenance on production equipment and notify Maintenance Personnel of problems
Make sure all production paperwork is properly filled out as well as any metrics on the computer
Process data through MRP systems as required
Minimum requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years production experience in a manufacturing environment
Gets along well with others and demonstrates leadership ability
Outstanding manufacturing skills
Excellent attention to detail
Must read, write, and speak English
Basic Math and writing skills
Computer Skills—Word, Excel and any other company programs
People Management Responsibilities
Directs the Team Captain, Production Specialist 4, Production Specialist 3, Production Specialist 2, Production Specialist 1 and Seasonal/temporary work force in the assigned department
Signatory Authority
This person has the authority to sign off on work instructions and Hazard Sign Offs
Physical requirements
Factory environment, possible noisy and hot/cold temperatures
Must be able to lift 25lbs On a daily basis
Must be able to perform repetitive motion with arms, hands and wrists
Must be able to stand throughout an 10 hr shift
